The couple of this spawn is an F1 from an orange male coming from Indonesia bred by Joty Atmadjaja (1st classified in the class D3 in Ranco 2012 at the II IBS) crossed with a female from my red line. They are brother and sister, really big and vital fish, almost 14 months old now, I hope they are going to be good parents.
The Sire:
The male is an orange dark body plakat with a strong body and a nice finnage. It arrived second in Dortmund this year. The size is impressive, it has one or two broken rays in the dorsal and the anal caudal fin could be bigger, so that the anal fin would look more balanced, but overall I really like this fish.
The Dame (sister of the male):
The female is a light orange fish with color loss on the body (marge effect). I like the contrast in color, the vitality and the unusual pattern. The anal fin is a bit too long but I hope I will be able to work on the F1..
The couple has been conditioned with frozen artemia and live bloodworm for 2 weeks before spawning. Here two videos:
